Stonegarden Eden Valley Riesling
Wine
Massena Stonegarden Eden Valley Riesling draws from 1940s plantings in the historic Stonegarden Vineyard. The old vines and meagre Eden Valley rainfall produce tiny yields of fruit.
The grapes are gently whole bunch pressed and only the free run juice is taken. Most of the juice is cool fermented in stainless steel tanks over several weeks. In some vintages, a portion ferments in small oak casks to add texture.
Pale straw, Massena Stonegarden Eden Valley Riesling has bright citrus flavours with a thread of slaty minerality, subtle texture and lively acidity. Cellaring potential is eight years.
